Today I read an article whose headline screamed 'Praful Patel's daughter pulled out AI flight for IPL'. Really? Is that even possible?
In effect the National daily for the sake of sensationalism, have accused Mr.Patel's daughter of misuse of power?? Power that she doesn't have in the first place...Complete loss of objectivity bordering on assenine reporting.
I am surprised their lawyers didn't advise them that they would open up themselves to defamation suit.
Indian Journalism always being accused of going downhill for the sake of better rating and sensation and it had happened upto some extent but then due to this journalism only people like Manu Sharma are behind the bar and many political scams are brought forward to the public eye. Well if bad people exist then there are good people as well who are constantly trying to bring the true motive of journalism to the forefront. and journalism has done more good than the harm to India, so because of one instance accusing media of being biased or not being objective that too when the matter is just into the initial stage is not correct. (atleast we came to know that somebody violated the aviation norms or some one abused the use of power)
ReplyDeleteAnd if the question of Mr. Patel's Daughter comes if she has used the power or not whether innocently or knowingly, we can just simply ask if some other person who is willing to pay as well would have asked for a chartered plane instead of Aviation Minister's Daughter whether he would have been given the same privilege making it inconvenient for 75 people and violating aviation norm - Probably not !!!!!
Its blessing in disguise if you have to arrange some chartered flight and you are a son or Daughter of Aviation minister.
Question is not if she has used the power knowingly or unknowingly, question is she was the mean of violation. Nobody else would have influenced Air India to change the norms and keep waiting 75 people but Mr. Praful Patel or her daughter itself.
